How to apply semi-permanent nail polish?

Semi-permanent varnishes are methacrylate-based varnishes which catalyze like UV gels. We will tell you how to apply a semi-permanent varnish in this article.

Step 1: Preparation

First, take your nail supplies and file your nail carefully so as not to damage the natural plaque of it. Then, using the nail buffer, buff your fingernail until the shiny layer no longer appears. And finally, apply the primer directly to the nail (Be careful not to touch the cuticles or the skin).

Step 2: The pose

Apply the twin coat or the base coat according to your kit then catalyze (always taking care not to touch the cuticles or the skin). Degrease your nail with the Cleaner once it comes out of the UV lamp.

Apply your semi-permanent colored varnish over the entire nail or in French Manicure. Then catalyze for 2 minutes under a 36 Watt UV lamp, you can apply a second coat of the same varnish by repeating the operation a second time.

Step 3: The glossy finish

After applying your color or your French, you can apply a glossy finishing varnish. To do this, proceed as follows:

  • Apply your finishing varnish directly to your color (Be careful to have followed step 2) then catalyze for 2 minutes under a UV lamp.
  • Once your hand is out, think about degreasing again and you’re done.

This universal manual for semi-permanent varnishes will guide you through your development in the application of UV and LED varnishes. It applies to all permanent varnishes but not to all manicure kits, so make sure you get all the items listed above in your starter kit or you will have to get them as an additional accessory, which will be more expensive.

Wish you have a good manicure!
